The prestigious 38th Golden Disc Awards took place recently, celebrating a year of outstanding music. It was a significant event for the artists SEVENTEEN and NewJeans, who emerged as the top winners of the night.

The ceremony was hosted by the charismatic duo Sung Si-kyung and Cha Eun-woo at the Jakarta International Stadium in Indonesia. This momentous occasion recognized exceptional South Korean music that debuted between mid-November 2022 and early-November 2023.

Garnering the Album of the Year award was SEVENTEEN with their album ‘FML’, while NewJeans clinched the Digital Song of the Year with their hit ‘Ditto’. These awards highlighted their dominance in the industry, marking them as the evening's standout victors.

Other accolades went to groups like IVE and Stray Kids, with Stray Kids receiving the title of Global K-pop Artist. BTS’ Jungkook also made his mark, winning awards for best album and song.

The night wasn’t just about the awards; a series of captivating performances also took the spotlight. Emerging acts ZEROBASEONE and BOYNEXTDOOR took to the stage, as did classical vocal group La Poem with a medley of popular songs from the past year.
