Edinburgh's Hogmanay bash reaches its 30th year

At the fully booked Princes Garden Street Party and Concert in the Gardens, thousands have assembled to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. This sold-out event is hosted by UniqueAssembly and the City of Edinburgh Council, ensuring a night to remember.

Legendary band Pulp headlines the event

The night is especially significant as Pulp, the iconic band that last performed in Edinburgh two decades ago, headlines the evening. Following their performance, attendees will be treated to a phenomenal display of fireworks, set to start at midnight and dazzle the skies until around 00:50 am on Monday.

Excitement builds among party-goers

Fans, like 26-year-old Alex MacDonald, have expressed their enthusiasm, particularly for Pulp's comeback and the stunning firework show. With hopes high for an incredible evening, another attendee, Dave Reed, also 26, shared his eagerness for the tunes and the overall vibe of the night, highlighting its significance in Edinburgh's festive traditions.

A chant for celebration

Interspersed with musical acts, brief firework displays have already elicited cheers from the eager crowd, setting the stage for the grand finale. Al Thomson, co-director of UniqueAssembly, reflects on the event's success and the exciting culmination of the Torchlight Procession which previously lit up the city and supported the fight against homelessness through their charity partner, Social Bite.
