Young Artists Conservatory of Music Prepares for a Festive Holiday Performance

Published December 6, 2023

The holiday season brings a special cheer to Vacaville with the Young Artists Conservatory of Music (YACM) showcasing their talent through a selection of heartwarming Christmas melodies and a variety of musical pieces. Students from the YACM are poised to delight audiences with their instrumental talent and the result of months of dedicated practice.

A Magical Three-Day Musical Event

Set to unfold over three enchanting evenings at Journey Downtown in Vacaville, the YACM's Holiday Harmonies begins with a Harmony Gala on December 13, imbuing the festive period with a symphony of youthful exuberance. This musical odyssey not only entertains but also fosters support for the next generation of musicians in the local community.

A remarkable line-up of 119 students, varying from novices to advanced performers, will take to the stage, turning their end-of-semester recitals into a grand celebration. Edward Evans, the Senior Program Director of YACM, explains that the annual event offers ample performing opportunities that underscore the students' hard work and progression during their recent term.

Excitement Meets Festive Energy

From stirring solo acts to enchanting ensemble performances, YACM's event demonstrates its diverse curriculum. Notable performances include the conservatory's lead vocalist, Rowan Dalisay, serenading the audience with "Christmas Lullaby", and the acclaimed violinist, Diana Haddad, performing Skoryk's "Melody".

The choice of venue, Journey Downtown, promises an elevated experience for these young artists, likening them to professional performers and enriching the audience's experience of local arts and culture. Evans invites the community to witness the made-with-love performances and support the thriving local arts scene.

Participation in this event empowers music education for Solano County's youth, as YACM believes in nurturing children's development through music, focusing on critical human development areas such as concentration, aural skills, resilience, collaboration, and confidence.

An Opening Night to Remember

The opening gala offers an exquisite dinner, festive drinks, and live performances, commencing before the actual concert at 5 p.m., with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. The gala ticket includes access to the evening concert, making it a full package for those attending.
