FireAid: The LA Wildfire Benefit Concert
NEW YORK (AP) — Two significant wildfires have impacted the Los Angeles area for over three weeks, causing extensive damage. More than 14,000 structures have been destroyed, and tens of thousands of residents have been displaced.
In response to this devastation, various relief efforts are underway, including the highly anticipated FireAid benefit concert.
Many renowned musicians, including Billie Eilish, Stevie Wonder, Joni Mitchell, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, are coming together for this cause. The concert will feature a total of 28 artists who are uniting to raise funds to support those affected by the wildfires.
What is FireAid?
FireAid is a special benefit concert organized to help those impacted by the wildfires in the Los Angeles region. It is being produced by prominent families and companies in the music industry, including the Azoff family along with Live Nation and AEG Presents.
All proceeds from the event will be directed to beneficiaries advised by the Annenberg Foundation, aimed at both immediate relief efforts and long-term strategies to mitigate future fire hazards.
Event Details
The FireAid concert will take place on January 30th at two locations in Inglewood, California. The Kia Forum will open its doors at 6:00 pm PST, followed by the Intuit Dome at 7:30 pm PST.

Originally, Dave Matthews was scheduled to perform alongside John Mayer, but due to a family emergency, Matthews will not be attending.
Streaming Options
For those unable to attend in person, FireAid will be broadcast live on several platforms including Apple Music, Netflix, and YouTube. Select AMC Theatre locations in the U.S. will also show the concert.
Ticket Information
Tickets will be available for purchase starting Wednesday at 12 pm PST through Ticketmaster, with prices starting at $99. To support relief efforts fully, both the venues and Ticketmaster have waived all service fees for this event.
Community Support
The response from the entertainment industry has been overwhelming. Artists such as Beyoncé have contributed millions, including a $2.5 million donation to a new LA Fire Relief Fund. The Weeknd also donated $1 million to various relief efforts.
The Recording Academy has launched a Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort with a substantial contribution, and has already allocated $2 million in emergency aid to those affected by the fires.
