Published January 25, 2025

Morgan Wallen continues to make waves in the country music scene. Recently, his fans received exciting news about a forthcoming album and a follow-up tour to his record-breaking One Night at a Time Tour. While the specific release date of the album remains unknown, one of its tracks has already claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, marking a significant achievement for Wallen.

Wallen's Latest Hit: "Love Somebody"

Last October, Wallen released the track "Love Somebody," which he described as taking a "little bit of a new approach lyrically and sonically." This brave move proved successful, as the song has climbed to the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart this week. This achievement marks Wallen’s 16th No. 1 hit on the chart, following his first chart-topper with "Up Down," featuring Florida Georgia Line, back in 2018.

With this latest accomplishment, the singer surpasses fellow country artist Luke Combs, who now has 15 No. 1 singles.

Record-Breaking Year for Wallen

In 2024, Wallen achieved an impressive milestone by recording five No. 1 hits on the Country Airplay chart, making him the first artist to reach such a high number in a single year across the chart's 35-year history. Of these songs, "Lies Lies Lies" stood out as Wallen's only solo No. 1. The other hits this year were collaborations, including tracks like "Cowgirls" with Ernest, "I Had Some Help" with Post Malone, "Man Made a Bar" with Eric Church, and Thomas Rhett’s "Mamaw’s House."

Wallen is Focused on His Next Album

Looking ahead, Morgan Wallen is set to launch his I’m The Problem Tour on June 20, 2025, starting in Houston, Texas. The tour, named after his upcoming album, is still under production. Wallen has expressed his dedication to this new project, posting updates on social media that show him hard at work in the studio.

The title track, "I’m The Problem," is expected to be released soon, with fans eagerly anticipating its debut on January 31, 2025. Wallen initially teased the song earlier in January 2024, leading to much speculation among fans about its theme.
