Jamie Foxx Injured After Altercation on His Birthday

Jamie Foxx recently celebrated his birthday at Mr Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills, California, where he was involved in a physical altercation that resulted in an injury. During the celebration, the 57-year-old actor was struck in the mouth by a glass.

According to a representative for Foxx, he had to receive stitches after the incident. NBC News reported that an individual at another table threw a glass, which unfortunately hit him in the mouth.

The Beverly Hills Police Department responded to a call shortly after 10pm local time regarding a possible assault with a deadly weapon. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, officers determined that the report was unfounded.

Instead, they found that the altercation stemmed from an interaction between parties at the restaurant and subsequently filed a report documenting the battery. As of now, no arrests have been made related to the incident. While the police press release did not mention Jamie Foxx by name, sources have confirmed his involvement.

Witnesses reported that some customers at a nearby table were being rude and vulgar toward Jamie, who requested they stop due to the presence of his family. This request allegedly led to one of the diners throwing the glass at him.

Earlier that night, Jamie had arrived at the restaurant accompanied by his daughters, Corinne and Anelise, as well as his ex-partner, Kristin Grannis. Following the incident, he took to social media to express his feelings without directly addressing the altercation.

In his post, he wrote: "The devil is a lie. Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me… when your light is shining bright… they try to bring you darkness … but they don’t know that you’re built for it… the lights have been shining bright…" He also expressed gratitude for the support received for his latest Netflix special, "What Had Happened Was," which has been well-received by fans.
