Kid Rock Takes a Shot at Michelle Obama for Skipping Trump's Inauguration
Kid Rock is preparing to perform at Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony happening soon. One notable absentee from the event is former First Lady Michelle Obama, and Kid Rock has decided to make a lighthearted comment about her absence.
In an interview on Thursday with Fox News host Jesse Watters, Kid Rock was asked whether this would be his first time performing at an inauguration. He replied that it was not his first time and brought up the fact that Michelle Obama would be missing the ceremony. He recounted how he performed at Barack Obama’s inauguration in 2009, despite not having voted for him.
When Jesse asked Kid Rock why he thought Michelle Obama was skipping Trump's inauguration, Kid Rock responded, "She seems a little angry." This comment hints at the ongoing tensions in the political landscape.
Earlier in the week, Michelle Obama’s office confirmed her absence from the inauguration without providing further details. In contrast, her husband, Barack Obama, is expected to be in attendance.
Additionally, Michelle has recently also missed significant events, like Jimmy Carter's funeral, while Barack was present and even had friendly interactions with Trump.
Meanwhile, Kid Rock is part of a diverse lineup scheduled to perform during the inauguration weekend from January 18 to 20, which will also feature artists like Billy Ray Cyrus, Lee Greenwood, Parker McCollum, Gavin DeGraw, and Carrie Underwood.
