Shamrock Rebellion Fest: Flogging Molly’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Evolves into a Major Music and Beer Festival

Published March 7, 2024

Every year, Flogging Molly, the renowned Irish punk band originating from Los Angeles, has hosted memorable events to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Known for their start at Molly Malone's Irish Pub, the band has scaled their celebrations from local bars to major venues including Kia Forum and the Hollywood Palladium. In 2023, Flogging Molly is elevating their St. Patrick’s Day event to a new level by launching the Shamrock Rebellion Festival, a single-day music and craft beer experience.

Festival Line-Up and Location

The Shamrock Rebellion Fest will be held on Saturday, March 16 at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado. The lineup boasts an impressive roster of bands, including Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, punk legends Buzzcocks, and rockers Face to Face. Joining them will be acts like Amigo The Devil, Skinny Lister, NOBRO, and Gen & The Degenerates. Alongside musical performances, the festival features a unique Irish stout created in collaboration with Rad Beer Co., plus a variety of craft beverages.

A New Tradition

Shamrock Rebellion isn't just another music festival— it's a fresh tradition that encapsulates a high-spirited sense of community and enjoyment. Dave King of Flogging Molly reminisces about his Irish upbringing with music at its heart, and the festival seeks to recreate those passionate gatherings. The event aims to provide a lively atmosphere where music fans can come together to relish in both classic punk anthems and fresh releases, all while enjoying a cold, specially crafted stout.

Continuing the Legacy

Flogging Molly and the participating bands bring with them a lasting legacy of treasured music. This festival not only celebrates their storied past but also introduces new creations to fans, such as tracks from Flogging Molly's latest record 'Anthem'. Frank Turner is also set to release his tenth album, promising new anthems for energized fans. Face to Face looks forward to connecting with fans over their storied hits too. The Shamrock Rebellion Festival, while offering new attractions, remains true to the spirit of St. Patrick's Day celebrations — it's an invitation to enjoy life and music without guilt or reservations.
