Musicians Honor Angie Stone with Heartfelt Tributes Following Her Death

On March 1, the music world faced a great loss with the passing of legendary soul singer, songwriter, and actress Angie Stone at the age of 63.

Since her death, fans of the iconic vocalist known for hits like "No More Rain (In This Cloud)" have taken to social media and online forums to express their grief and share fond memories of her. Many of her fellow artists and collaborators, including Beyoncé, Anthony Hamilton, Syleena Johnson, Eric Benét, and Keke Wyatt, have publicly paid tribute to Angie Stone, honoring her significant impact on music and culture.

Beyoncé, who starred alongside Stone in the film The Fighting Temptations, expressed her sorrow on her official website. She wrote: “Thank you for your voice, your strength, and your artistry. Your incredible legacy will live on forever. Rest in peace, Angie Stone.”

Friends and co-stars from the reality series R&B Divas: Atlanta, Syleena Johnson and Keke Wyatt, also shared their own emotional messages. Johnson reflected on their friendship, stating, “I have been privileged to know you as a sister friend and always my soror. I love you sis. ... I am devastated, and there aren’t any words good enough for me to express myself. RIH Angie.”

Keke Wyatt followed suit, writing, “ANGIE I’m speechless 💔😭. Thank you for being a wonderful sister/friend. We love you! Rest in Heaven! 💋💔💋.”

Other prominent musicians joined in to pay their respects. Eric Benét shared his sorrow with a simple yet powerful message: “I have a deep deep pain and no words. Rest in Power Angie Stone.”

According to a statement from Angie Stone’s longtime representative, Deborah R. Champagne, the singer’s tragic passing was the result of injuries sustained in a car accident that occurred late on February 28.
