Morgan Wallen Says 'I'm the Problem' as He Launches New Single, Tour and Fourth Album
Morgan Wallen is moving forward in his career, announcing the new I’m the Problem Tour and preparing for the release of his fourth studio album.
The country music star revealed his 10-city North American tour, which will feature a lineup of guests including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Koe Wetzel, Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley, and Anne Wilson.
As stated by concert producer Live Nation, Wallen is reworking the setlist from his successful One Night at a Time World Tour to include tracks from his upcoming album. The album's title track, “I’m the Problem,” will drop on January 31.
Wallen expressed his gratitude for his fans, saying, "We made so many lifelong memories on the One Night at a Time World Tour, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for my fans and the way they showed up each night. As I’ve been working on new music, it has inspired me to get back on the road and share these new songs with each of you on the I’m the Problem Tour. See y’all there."
While the release date for the new album is still unannounced, Wallen confirmed that he is still actively working on it. A piece of audio featuring the phrase “I’m the Problem” gained popularity on TikTok under the title “I Guess.” Additionally, fans of Taylor Swift have taken issue with the title of Wallen’s tour, suggesting he borrowed a lyric from her song “Anti-Hero” for promotion. Representatives for Wallen have not commented on this point.
The I’m the Problem Tour is set to begin at NRG Stadium in Houston on June 20 and 21. The tour will then travel to locations including Madison, Wisconsin; Miami Gardens, Florida; Glendale, Arizona; and Seattle. Two shows will take place in California at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara in early August, featuring Wilson and Lambert on August 1, and Wilson and Brooks & Dunn on August 2.
Further stops include Cleveland, Foxborough, Massachusetts, and Toronto, with the tour concluding on September 13 after two nights at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Canada.
An early presale signup started on Friday and will continue until Tuesday. Presale tickets are set to go on sale starting January 30, with the general sale beginning on January 31 at morganwallen.com. A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Morgan Wallen Foundation.
Following a major comeback after facing challenges in early 2021, Wallen’s last tour, the One Night at a Time stadium tour, was a significant success. This tour included 87 dates and grossed over $300 million, making it the highest-grossing country tour ever.
Despite previous controversies, including an arrest in April 2021 related to a chair-throwing incident, Wallen has continued to thrive. He recently entered a conditional plea resulting from the incident and received a penalty that included probation. In November, he was named the 2024 entertainer of the year at the Country Music Association Awards and is also nominated for his first two Grammy Awards at the upcoming ceremony in February for his duet with Post Malone, “I Had Some Help.”
The announcement comes after Wallen's inaugural Sand in My Boots Festival, taking place in May along the shores of Gulf Shores, Alabama. The sold-out event will feature performances from Wallen and other artists including Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, and Hardy over three days. Additional performers include Riley Green, Bailey Zimmerman, T-Pain, Diplo, Wiz Khalifa, and many others.
