Chris Martin's On-Stage Mishap During Coldplay Concert
Coldplay is enjoying a very successful run with their Music Of The Spheres tour, which has made history by generating nearly a billion dollars in revenue, making it one of the highest-grossing rock tours ever. However, not everything has gone smoothly for them, as Chris Martin recently experienced an unexpected incident while performing.
A recent concert in Melbourne, Australia, on November 3 featured a surprising moment captured on video. While engaging with the audience, Martin began to walk backwards, unaware that he was approaching an opening in the stage. Some fans, those closest to him, could be heard gasping and screaming as they recognized the danger. Unfortunately, Martin fell into the hole, but luckily, someone was there to catch him.
Martin handled the situation with humor, saying, "That’s, uh, not planned. Thank you for catching me so much, thank you guys. Holy sh*t, that’s going to be a YouTube moment." He then jokingly pointed at the people in the hole, saying, "You get a bonus, you get a bonus…" which brought laughter and cheers from the audience.
This incident follows a similar moment that happened to Olivia Rodrigo at a concert last month, where she also fell into a hole on stage. Like Martin, she bounced back quickly and assured her fans, "Oh my god, that was fun! I’m OK! Woah! Sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage. That’s alright!" Both performers have shown that even when mishaps happen, they can maintain their composure and entertain their audience.
