Liam Payne’s Girlfriend Shares Heartfelt Message After His Death

Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, has expressed her grief in a touching message following his untimely passing at the age of 31.

On her Instagram Story, Cassidy acknowledged the outpouring of support she has received, saying, "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way. I have been at a complete loss. Nothing about the past few days have felt real.”

In her emotional post, she continued, "I ask and pray that you’ll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private. Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you, Liam.”

Cassidy, a model with a following of over 600,000 on Instagram, started dating the former One Direction member in 2022. Their relationship became public when they began sharing moments together on social media.

Last month, Cassidy shared a video on TikTok where she recounted how she and Payne first met. She mentioned that while working at a nightclub in Charleston, South Carolina, her manager advised her to make sure Payne was taken care of during his visit.

During their time together, she told Payne about her family in London and mentioned her frequent visits to the UK. He then offered to act as her tour guide, leading to a few days together that extended into a memorable vacation.

Tragic Circumstances Surrounding His Death

Unfortunately, their plans took a tragic turn when Payne died after falling from the third-floor balcony of the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Paramedics responded quickly, but he suffered severe injuries, including a skull fracture, and resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

An autopsy later revealed that he passed away due to multiple serious injuries and significant internal and external bleeding caused by the fall. Reports indicated that alcohol and drugs were involved, and damaged furniture was found in his hotel room.

Prior to the incident, a hotel staff member had called emergency services expressing concern about a guest who had "overindulged on drugs and alcohol," fearing he might act dangerously due to the presence of the balcony.

Cassidy had been vacationing with Payne but returned to Florida two days before his tragic accident.

Reflecting on their extended stay in Buenos Aires, Cassidy mentioned in a TikTok video that their planned short trip turned into a two-week stay, during which she felt a strong urge to return home.
