Lana Del Rey recently shared heartfelt insights regarding her decision to get married, revealing why it took her a considerable amount of time to take the plunge. The talented singer, known for her hit song Young and Beautiful, expressed her gratitude towards music producer Jack Antonoff, who she credited for showing her a positive example of marriage.

While presenting Antonoff with the Producer of The Decade Award at Variety’s eighth annual Hitmakers event, Del Rey spoke about how Antonoff's relationship with his wife, Margaret Qualley, influenced her own views on love and commitment. "I’m grateful for Antonoff for the example he gave me in his marriage to Margaret Qualley," she stated.

She went on to express admiration for the way Antonoff looked at Qualley, acknowledging that he played a significant role in her decision to wait before getting married herself. "He’s a big reason why I waited so long to get married, and why I met my amazing husband," Del Rey gushed.

At 39 years old, the artist emphasized the unique challenges musicians face in finding meaningful relationships, referring to this phenomenon as the “singer’s curse.” She explained, "I feel like there’s a singer’s curse around meeting an honest partner who has no skin in the game, no dog in the race." This poignant comment highlights the difficulties many artists experience when trying to form genuine connections amidst the complexities of their careers.

Del Rey's journey to marriage culminated in a private ceremony with her husband, Jeremy Dufrene, whom she first met in 2019. The couple tied the knot on September 26, 2024, in an intimate setting.
