Josh Homme Teams Up with Music Stars for Charity Concert

Published March 5, 2024

Josh Homme, best known as the frontman for Queens Of The Stone Age, is joining forces with a star-studded lineup for a special one-night charity event titled 'Josh Homme & Friends'. This concert will feature big names like Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, Matt Helders from Arctic Monkeys, alternative music artist Beck, and many others.

Benefit Concert Supporting The Sweet Stuff Foundation

The gig is scheduled to take place on March 20 at The Belasco in downtown Los Angeles. Its main purpose is to raise funds for The Sweet Stuff Foundation, an organization founded to help musicians, recording engineers, and their families who are facing health crises and disabilities.

Apart from the headliners, the event will also see performances by punk duo The Kills, Eagles of Death Metal's Jesse Hughes, comedian Bill Burr, the innovative St. Vincent, and Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer Chad Smith. Other acts include magician Justin Willman and comedian Sarah Silverman, ensuring a dynamic variety of entertainment for attendees.

The announcement states that tickets will become available on Friday, March 8, at 10 am local time. This event comes as a follow-up to Homme's previous participation in a similar charity concert organized for suicide prevention last year.

Josh Homme's Collaborative Spirit

Josh Homme has a history of collaborative works, recently including the 'Post Pop Depression' album with Iggy Pop and Matt Helders. His close relationship with Dave Grohl has yielded memorable projects such as their supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, which also involved John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin. The duo's friendship goes beyond music, sharing personal times and conversations about various topics.

In other related updates, Queens Of The Stone Age are about to embark on their Spring 2024 US tour with Royal Blood, starting in Portsmouth, Virginia and booking stops in several southeastern cities. Following the tour, they're also preparing to headline at the 2024 Download Festival, marking another significant milestone for the band.
