U.S. Navy Band Inspires Caddo Parish Students on National Tour

On February 8, 2024, the esteemed United States Navy Band graced the halls of Caddo Parish Magnet High School in Shreveport, Louisiana, with a captivating performance under the baton of Lieutenant Junior Grade David Drescher. Hailing from Hammond, Indiana, the conductor led an inspiring concert aimed at engaging the student body with music and service. This stop was a highlight on the Navy Band's ambitious 2024 national tour.

Educational Outreach and Public Performances

The tour is designed to bridge communities and cultivate a greater understanding of the Navy across the nation. Over the course of 18 days, the band will cover a staggering 2500 miles, performing in 7 different states. Their extensive itinerary includes 12 public concerts that promise to entertain and educate citizens of all ages, plus an additional 5 special performances dedicated to students in various schools.
