Holiday Happenings

A special holiday market is taking place at Village Green West Seattle from noon to 3 pm, where you’ll find local vendors, complimentary coffee, and the opportunity to take a tour of the area. The location is at 2615 SW Barton. Following that, at 1 pm is the Silver Sounds Holiday Show at the Senior Center, which will feature a musical parody inspired by 'It's a Wonderful Life,' complete with a singalong, jokes, and a mysterious raffle. Santa is also expected to make an appearance!

At 6 pm, the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Chamber Party: 'Mix, Mingle, & Jingle' at The Bridge, located at 6451 California SW. You might want to check the availability of tickets before you go. Another artistic event is the 'Snowed In' musical by ArtsWest, which starts at 7:30 pm. This week marks the second run of the holiday musical premiere.

Year-Round Activities

For non-holiday events, there’s something for everyone starting from 10:30 am with a Toddler Reading Time at Paper Boat Booksellers. Got something broken? Try fixing it rather than throwing it away at the Fix-It Workshop from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the West Seattle Tool Library. Runners can join a free group run starting at 6:15 pm from West Seattle Runner.

If you fancy some brain teasers, you can take part in Trivia x 6, available at six different locations including Locust Cider, West Seattle Brewing, and Beveridge Place Pub among others, varying from 6 pm to 8:30 pm start times. For more music, stop by The Locol at 6:30 pm for some live performances, or if piano tunes are more to your taste, Otter on the Rocks features live piano music at 7 pm. Alternatively, play some Music Bingo at The Good Society starting 7 pm.

Sports fans can watch high-school girls’ varsity basketball games at 7:30 pm, with West Seattle HS and Chief Sealth IHS playing host to their competitors. Lastly, express yourself or enjoy others' talents at the Skylark Open Mic from 7:30 pm at West Seattle’s longest-running open mic night.
